Tom Speer’s Shunting Foil Sections | Tom Speer is a Boeing aerodynamicist who used computer voodoo to create a foil section with fore and aft symmetry, suitable for a shunting proa. On the water reports show that the new foils perform as expected, that is... as well as traditional "teardrop" foils. An important step forward in proa development.
