Whauuuu

Yet another example that reality allways beats imagination?
Or maybe it´s a nicely restored classic Fledermaus-hull with new wings.

But seriously - what a gem!

Thank you

OMFG!

Are those ports curved!?!?  That thing is a work of art-the lovechild of a humpback whale and a Riva speedboat.

But is it a proa or a tacker?  I think it might be a tacker.

Ya think the inside looks cool? ; )

Thanks for pointing this out Johannes!

Yes it is a tacker.

I have mailed the builder/owner and i have got some very interesting information about “Akka”.
I asked if i could post more pictures here, but i have not got any answer yet.
I will post it if he gives me permission to.

Cheers

Obviously, alien technology involved here. Reverse engineered from a crashed ship in the arctic. 😊

Akka is 11 x 2,4 meter (main hull), 1,2 meter wide at the waterline and 5,9 meters wide total. The Vaka is spindle-shaped with a Naca 0066 profile. It has a Brucefoil in the ama.

I am in love with this interior. Its a mix between a Hobbit-house and a Proa.
Its soo beutifull. Im impressed by Fredriks carpenter-skills!
He is living in a Earth-Ship http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthship in souther Sweden. renovating boats ( a Ljungström Arch Bow hull at the moment) and building Proas…. What a life!!!

Incredible.

I’m making an offer on a little 1000ft2 house with a 1200ft2 shop this week.  After the wallet recovers, i can finally start building.  Talk about motivation.

Thanks Johannes 😉

That is, indeed, a very cool and unique looking boat! Quite a showcase. It would be great to know about its sailing and handling performance.

On one picture in the last post, it seems like the boat received quite a blow, and damaged its bow. What a pity! Or is it just me, seeing things?

Thanks for finding and sharing.

Cheers,

Peter

Looks to me that it is folded/swung up -as it’s blocking the portholes further back? The last picture, from under, shows hinges I believe.

Hi Alex,
I see hinges too, I agree. But doesn’t it look like it would be hinged downwards?

I think it is a stainless steel plate, to give some protection when lifting the anchor.
See the picture below.
