Hi,
Just stumbled on the 2 pictures of a fairly large beach proa with a Gibbons rig, by a gentleman by the name of Wes White; the son of Robb White, apparently a well known canoes and small boats builder.
You can scroll down 2/3 of the way on the following link or search Wes White on the page.

And below, under sail, about half way down.

And another 2 pictures from Duckworks.
See almost all the way to the end:

Apparently, he drops the sail to shunt…
And no rudders…
Do you know this guy?
Would be interesting to know what he thinks of the Gibbons rig…
What dya tink?

Nice looking proa. It looks like he showed up at Cedar Key two years in a row with the same rig - that’s almost unheard of with a proa. 😉
Robb White was a long time contributor to Woodenboat - I always enjoyed his articles.
