Hi Skip, one of you in heart still, I do however have in international canoe itch that needs a scratch. Just in from the boat shed from tinkering with her. Just fancy a bit of sailing with other similar boats and a bit of racing.
I am satisfied with my proa developments and have achieved all I wanted to. I am still passionate about proas and their clear and unique benefits. One day a I may build another as an ultra lightweight car topping day sailer but for the moment I don’t have a nearby practical sailing location.
This site is always the 2nd I look at after my e-mail so will still be watching thinking and adding my two peneth.
Anyway how is BB and the shoulder, looking forward to pictures and sailing reports

Shoulder progresses glacially but does progress. Doc says I’ll be able to canoe in three months, we’ll see.
BB is progressing a little more rapidly, am trying to get boat and my ability to use it to coincide. Cambered panel sail is half done, completing rudders is going to depend on temperature after the first of the year, what little shop time I’m allowed now taken up with Xmas gifts.
When BB does hit the water, I’ll have a little help, Saint John aka John Wright is planning on helping along with a canoeing buddy. Will try to document trials and tribulations. First will be the cambered panel sail, will probably also try the biaxial since I’ve put so much time into it but am currently pretty enamored with the cambered panel sail. Next probably a wingsail, Peter Worsely’s circular cam seems too elegant an idea not to try though I’d be leery of such a rig on Nomad.
Cheers,
Skip

BB plans sound good, looking forward to hearing how it all goes.
Good luck with the shoulder, they do take an age to repair, a final push in the gym has got mine back to a full range of movement…... Nine months after my accident

I’ve read through several pages of the thread, but I found many of the messages difficult to comprehend. Perhaps I need a new brain. The forum user who’d initially posted the images of his double-ended IC canoe later on posted a video of him sailing a canoe. I think it’s the same craft, but re-modelled so that it’s now got conventional bilateral symmetry. Not sure.
