Can you set up the forum so that PDFs can be uploaded as attachments to posts?

I have two options file uploading: “images only”, or “all files”. I am understandably leery of opening up the forum to all file types. Apparently PDF’s aren’t images files, according to the infinite wisdom of the forum programmers.

The image size restriction used to be 700 x 700 pixels, now it appears to be 700 wide x 1000 high. Firstly, wouldn’t it be more useful if it was 1000 wide x 700 high, as the majority of images are landscape? Secondly, do you really need to have an image size restriction? It adds a lot of work to posting images as most images these days are usually way bigger than that and so resizing is always required.

I’ve set the image size limit to 2000 x 2000 px, and yes, we now have thumbnails! Please let me know if you have any problems with image uploading, or if you have any more suggestions. The previous image size limits were due to the server limitations we had, but since the recent migration to a new server we can handle a lot more bandwidth, and isn’t it nice that the site is now rather snappy? 😊
