Hi
I hope you’re getting some sleep while working the wrinkles out of the new code. I’ve been sending you some user notes via the ‘contact’ email address. My main worry is the ‘form has expired’ alert, which I get when I try to update me profile, and when I try to use search. Anyone else having similar issues? I’m using firefox 30 under osx 10.8.5

Also, text of messages flows across the darker left margin to left edge. Doesn’t stay in the paler text area to the right. Its an aesthetic thing, no biggie.

Hi Michael,
Just a quick note to say that I’m excited about the new format that will include different types of multis. The biggest drawing card of the Proa is its’ wonderful ( apparent! ) simplicity, of course. But any kind of multi that can be built on a shoestring and yet do the job of most gold-platers out there is fascinating to me.
I look forward to enjoying the expanded playing field and the fresh, bright ideas that will no doubt emerge.
Cheers for now,
claudio

“Form has expired” has made PMing completely impossible for me at times, though the issue seems to have been resolved a few days back for me. It may be OS dependent, but I’m not sure, I use a variety of systems and browsers, so it may simply be the case that it wasn’t working on one of the platforms.

I’ve had the “form has expired” a few times when trying to post as well, very annoying! :/ Refreshing doesn’t help either, closing the page altogether and navigating back to it, and pasting in the text, has worked for me though.

Another bug I’ve got, when visiting proafile from my (android) smartphone the page per se is really cleanly formatted and much better suited for mobile devices than th old one, except that the text simply runs out of the right hand border, and since its already in mobile format, I can’t see that text no matter what I do (landscape mode, and I can only zoom in). It unfortunately makes forum posts unreadable on my mobile, so I have to use a computer instead.

Thanks for all the feedback. This forum stuff is harder than I thought! 😊 I’m working through the “form has expired” error, it appears on many different pages. This is due to an “upgrade” from EE that has increased security, to the point where it is maddening. I am working on these errors on a form by form basis.

Regarding the lack of proper responsiveness, this is an issue for the forum that I noted at the start. Only the articles pages are truly responsive, and the forum will require a major commitment of time to bring it up to speed.

Regards,
Mike

This is the same problem I get on my I pad. The left margin goes all the way to the left edge of the gray area where the user info is posted. I think this is not intended. The right margin is way off the page and there seems to be no possible way to read the last few words on each line. I find this extremely frustrating. I hope you can work it out!

I know this is a lot of work, I will concurrently be working on my patience! 😊

On all my IOS7.x.x devices (e.g. my iPhone) I can only see the leftmost ~38 characters, and there is no way to scroll or adjust the text to read the rest :(

The visible text is in a text box occupying 40% of the screen width.

The rightmost 60% of the screen outside the text box is blank/grey.

This happens for both portrait and landscape orientation.

It happens for Safari, Opera Mini and Chrome browsers.

Does it happen for you guys, too, or am I the only one?

Chrome on Linux (ver: Version 36.0.1985.125) is causing text to fail to wrap within the text area in the forum postings.  Firefox is fine.

The exact same version of Chrome works fine on my Mac.  Safari works fine as well.

On the same version # of *Chromium* as Bill has of Chrome, on Linux, everything looks good to me. No idea why the different result from Bill except maybe the compile?

Qupzilla (lightweight QT/webkit browser) on Linux looks good except for the fonts, which aren’t your problem… 😊

Firefox is fine here too.

Michael,

Similar to Alex…..When I try to amend details in my account, it keeps telling me: error -  form expired.

Hi Michael, I am seeing something like “30 of {total_pages} Pages” on the bottom left corner of most forum pages, under the ‘1 2 3’ page links which look OK and work correctly. It doesn’t seem to cause any problems; it just appears to be some bit of html or PHP that escaped confinement. 😊
