Hello,

I am about to begin building a Bieker/Brown 32 foot proa.  I am blessed to be near Paul and Russell and to live in a town with world class resources such as a wood supplier and a CNC business within 5 miles of my shop.  I have started a blog at proa32.blogspot.com  for those who would like to follow my progress.  I’d appreciate any wisdom, comments or questions as I go forward.

Cheers,
-jak

Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Jak!

I’m looking forward to following your build.

I think your boat is pretty much the coolest sailboat in the world right now.

Hi Jak,
I agree with all of the comments above and I think there will be more than myself who are envious of your situation. What a beaut boat you are going to have, you surely have got the universe aligned in your favour!

Saw the beams for Jzerro and I have been wondering for a while re the bolt in setup of Jzerro, Cimba had 2 obvious bolt spots on the vertical framing members. Though with Jzerro only visible on pod side. Are the other bolts for the beams further out in the cockpit area on Jzerro? Wouldn’t have any photos of that would you?

Also are the beams on your new boat fixed in the same way?

And G10 bolt tubes, does that mean glass with 10mm bore?

If you have enough time to answer that is.
Cheers, Jo

Hi Jak,

You have not reported much progress on your blog for the past few months; I hope that nothing dramatic happened in your life that made you give up on the project…

Or is it that you are too busy building to report what is going on.

I hope it is the later..

Please let all of us know…

Thanks,

Laurent
