Hello,

My name is Halsted Morris. I have a special association with Atlantic Proas.

My father was Jim Morris. He was the owner/sponsor of CHEERS & THREE CHEERS. Dick & Pat Newick are close family friends.

My father died in 92’, and my mother recently died. I was looking through a lot of the CHEERS & THREE CHEERS photos we have, and it got me to do a Google search about CHEERS & THREE CHEERS. And that is how I found this website/forum. Eventually, I’ll try and post some unpublished photos of CHEERS here.

As a kid I got to sail on not only CHEERS & THREE CHEERS, but on a lot of other of Dick’s designs. He and I have traded drawings of a VERY small trimaran, for sailing here in Colorado. One day I may build it.

But, looking at some of the photos here I have started to toy with the idea of building a “improved CHEERS” model, for sailing in the pond that’s across the road from my home.

Any way, if you have any questions about CHEERS I might be able to answer some of them.
