I have to confess that I have been a lurker for a while. I am not that good with forums so I am sure I will make a lot of mistakes but I do like proas and have talked to some of you in the past.
I have finally sold my 45 ft cat and I’m looking forward to a new proa in the new year. We have been working on the design for quite a while and will start building in Jan. Should be done by the fall. We are building more of a DRUA style. Not sure if many have tackled that style of proa. We wanted accommodation in both hulls. Hull lengths are about 55 ft and 44 ft. Could have gone with a cat but I see some advantages for the Drua style. Should have more accommodation volume and performance with less cost than a cat. The materials are 80% of a 39 ft cat.
I would love to know if anyone has done anything similar.
