Hi All,

I have been an armchair proa enthusiast for years.  My interests are pretty wide-ranging, going from small beach boats up to cruising boats.  I have variously been obsessed with rudders, wingsails, crabclaws, flettner rotors, rogallo wings, proas (or outriggers) with keels that self right in one direction only etc. etc.

I have a fair amount of monohull racing / cruising experience, mainly in the Solent and the North Sea, occasionally ranging as far as Shetland and Norway.  Currently landbound I scratch my sailing itch with landsailers and am getting used to the rather terrifying speed and the notion that every direction is a beat.
