Hello, proa fans, and welcome to the Forums!
If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to introduce yourself here. We’d love to know who you are!
Also, please don’t neglect your USER PROFILE, which you can access by clicking on your user name in the extreme upper left corner of the site. Tell us a bit about yourself, your homeport, and about your interest in proas and outrigger canoes. I’m hoping you’ll be able to use the community features here to help connect with others who happen to live nearby, for a sail, some racing, or just a good old-fashioned meet up.
While you’re at it, upload an AVATAR image (see mine on the left of this post) to help cheer up the place. 100x100 max pixel size. You can also post a MEMBER PHOTO to your profile.
The purpose of the new forum is to advance proa design and the proa’s image in the wider sailing world and have a good time while doing it. We encourage cooperative participation as the best means to that end. We do NOT believe the adversarial or ‘debate’ method is the best way of researching and developing any issue regarding proas. It automatically creates an opponent. When people are forced to become defensive, creativity suffers and growth stops. This affects us all. Mutual respect is the name of the game. Everybody responds well to it. This forum has been created for your enjoyment - please enjoy it to the full.
Cheers,
