Here’s where I’m at. every step forward seems to take me two back…....
I too find my self looking at all this wondering where’s this going???
anyway, aint stopping, “full steam ahead”. problems have solutions, questions have answers.
this boat has been sailing in my head for years now, so doing it as I always wanted to.
for now, odds and ends… soon internal paint, deck, then flip and fiberglass hull…...
And so on and on and on….................... added my last clip.
all d best.

Nice steady progress. It is very easy to get bogged down in details, overthinking things. Glad you’ve got spring - it will be -17C here tonight and Spring is behaving like the Ukrainian government towards Putin. Snow is still around 2M high on the sides of my driveway.
Are you going to have any sort of raised doghouse on the cabin section of the Vaka?

Hi Bill, we on the other hand had a very mild winter, was cold but almost no snow.
been living here for 10 years, got used to heaps of snow and minus twenties…...
This year the Micronesian gods blew it all over west Europe where those guys had a winter they never seen…....
As for the Vaka, what you see is what there is. 2 hatches on hinges that flip over onto the leepod.
I worry about windage, also want to point as high as possible, so keeping things low. probably the front hatch will
be kept closed in anything above a force 4. CLR is another factor, because as front hatch gonna be shut nobody
gonna be wondering around in the front half of the boat….
A bimini would be nice, ones that could fold down, but then wont get away with less then 2…..... so again back
to square one, The Gods of Money….... but lately can’t find their phone number.
all d best.
