The Pjoa Folk
The folks at Pjoa.eu have a nice Christmas gift for us: plans for a plywood-epoxy stitch and glue version of their beach-cruiser sailing proa:
Let us proudly share that we have made available an extensive plans set for proa PJOA FOLK. By “extensive” – they contain e.g. step-by-step building and rigging instructions. Knowing where a lot of proanauts find significant problems, we want to save them a lot of time, so another part is soon coming: The detailed Crab Claw rig trimming guide. This one should be ready before the soonest Folk Pjoa launching.
This design belongs to the Pjoa family, so that one can apply all the methods of handling described in “Basics of sailing the Micronesian way”.
We put a lot of thinking on PJOA FOLK dismantling and making ready to transport at a car top in no more than half an hour.
The platform between hulls can accommodate a small tent, provided mast step is moved to the socket at the end of the bench, although we personally prefer to sleep ashore. 😉
Janusz And Pawel have created a lovely canoe that is modern in materials and yet traditional in everything else. Find out more here.
